HOW TO

BUTTONS EXPLAINED

BUTTONS:

Register – To register a free account and save your work progress to that account. You can work as a guest but if you leave the site your work will be lost.

Login – To login to your account to continue or access any previous work or images.

Upload – this button provides you with a directory of files on your computer so you can find photos you have stored there.

Browse Files – This allows you to access images that you have previously uploaded for this calendar. This comes in handy for the page logos if you use them more than once.

Clear & Start Over – In case you need to completely clear all your pages created so far and start over.

Clear This Page – Clears images you have loaded to just this current visible set of calendar pages.

Save & Prev – This saves your work on the current page and returns you to the previous page.

Save and Next – This saves your work on the current page and moves you to the next page.

Once you have made your initial choices for your calendar format you can begin building your photo pages. You will start with the cover page then progress to the interior pages and finally the back cover. All pages are edited using the same tools so once you understand what they do it should be easy to create your calendar.

Your first step will be to upload an image. Once you have selected an image from your computer and uploaded it you will see a dotted line box over the image. Depending on the size of your image it may surround all of it or just a part of it. This box shows you what portion of your image will show in your finished calendar. You can slide the box around or make it smaller to capture just part pf your image. Once you have the box showing what you want to show then click “crop” to see it in your preview screen. YOU MUST CLICK ONE OF THE SAVE BUTTONS BEFORE LEAVING TO SAVE THE WORK ON THE PAGE.

SELECT A TEMPLATE

The calendar editor provides you with options for single or multiple image layouts. When you click the grey box with a down arrow next to the Select Template entry box you will see all available options for photo arrangements. When you select one of the templates you will see it in the preview window to the right and the image upload buttons will be labeled for the location of the images in the selected layout. You can replace an image by uploading another. Keep in mind that Clicking the Clear & Start Over button will remove all images on ALL pages. Use the Clear This Page button if you just want to clear the current page. Don’t forget to click on one of the save buttons to save your work before proceeding to the next step!

CUSTOMIZE BACKGROUNDS

You have the option to choose a color background and/or apply a pattern to the background. Selecting a color from the drop down Select Color Background list will apply that color to the background of your current 2-page layout visible in the preview window. Additionally, you can select one of the patterns in the Select Background Design list to have it show up in the background color. You can also choose the color of that design pattern using the Select Design Color drop down list.

ADD PAGE LOGOS

In your editing panel you will see two areas to edit logos titled Left Logo and Right Logo. These will display in the grid calendar pages to the left or right of the month. If you leave these blank nothing will print in that area, it will remain the color of paper or a background if one is selected. However, if you are opting to sell ad space to sponsors you can use these areas to display sponsor logos.

ADD SPECIAL TEXT

You are able to add brief text directly to the calendar grid by clicking directly in the box for that specific day. An editor will pop up where you can add a short amount of text and you will be able to preview it when you are done. This is useful if you want to highlight a specific day for your organizations. For example, a baseball league might choose to highlight opening day this way. Remember to keep text brief and watch for overlapping pre-printed holiday text.
